8 Hour Fall Protection Awareness: This course is to provides construction employers and employees with information on recognizing potential fall hazards at their worksites and suggest ways to avoid, minimize, control or prevent the hazards whenever possible. The course focuses on falls to a lower level; not falls to the same level resulting from slips and trips.

Course objectives:

  • Identify factors that contribute to common fall hazards
  • Explain how to analyze work areas for fall hazards
  • Discuss methods to control or prevent fall hazards
  • Describe OSHA’s fall protection resources.

Standards Covered:Subpart M - Fall Protection, 29 CFR 1926.500, 29 CFR 1926.501, 29 CFR 1926.502, and 29 CFR 1926.503. Fall protection flexibility (§1910.28(b)).

Course Length:8 hours not including breaks and lunch hour.

Course and attendance Policy:

Students must earn a 70% or more in their final exam in order to successfully complete the course. Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities. Make-up time is not permitted for this training course. Upon successful class completion, students will receive a certificate of class completion from SITE SAFETY LLC
